PAT Test Every 6-12 Months
We would recommend all electrical equipment and portable appliances are PAT tested every 6-12 months. The law which governs PAT testing in the UK is The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

For an end user, there are only two outcomes of a PAT Test; it will either pass or fail depending on the extent of any damage found.
This usually means that the item should either be repaired or replaced. If this is not carried out, then the safety of anyone using or touching these items could be compromised which can lead to life-threatening scenarios such as electric shocks, fire hazards and explosions due to overloading.
