Our certified fire safety training courses for fire extinguishers, are designed for teams of up to 15.
The content will consist of a presentation, video footage and a tutorial on how to use a fire extinguisher, all delivered by a member of our professional fire safety team. Ideal for teams and staff at offices, warehouses, supermarkets, retail units, garages, and leisure centres.

1 Hour Basic Fire Extinguisher Course
The 1 hour version of our fire extinguisher training courses is designed to cover all of the basics. That way, they will be able to respond to a fire alarm quickly and safely.
Since it’s just an hour long, you can easily slot this course into a regular working day. Trust us when we say that it’s not worth putting off – for the sake of 1 hour, you could potentially prevent extensive fire damage, which would cost thousands of pounds and cause countless lost hours.
Course Basics
During the course, we will cover:
- The Nature of Fire – a knowledge check of your current fire safety procedure.
- How to use a Fire Extinguisher – providing a detailed explanation of how to use a fire extinguisher.
- Classes of Fire & Fire Extinguisher Types – listing the six types of fire extinguishers, explaining the classes of fire and which fire extinguisher should be used in each instance.

2 Hour Standard Fire Extinguisher Course
While the one hour course goes through all the basics, we can cover a lot more content with an extra hour.
The two hour fire extinguisher course is a lot more comprehensive. It is designed to ground your team’s knowledge, and ensure they feel safe at work. Then, if a fire does occur, they will be able to handle the situation with efficiency and confidence.
In fact, a 2022 UK Trade Association report revealed that 93% of fires were successfully extinguished by portable extinguishers. As you can see, it’s well worth giving your staff some fire extinguisher training – the statistics show that they’ll then be able to use them very successfully!
During the 2 hour standard fire extinguisher course, we will go through fire safety theory in a lot more detail
Alongside all of the information above, we will go through how fires start, outline common causes of fires and how to put them out. We will also explain how fires spread, and inform teams about how to successfully limit and tackle a small fire, to prevent it from expanding.
