What are Lithium Battery Fire Extinguishers?
It’s important to note that lithium battery fires have very different behaviours to conventional fires.
After it ignites, a lithium-ion battery can quickly go into ‘thermal runaway’. When this happens, it burns at extremely high temperatures. It can also emit toxic gases, and even re-ignite multiple times (unless it is extinguished correctly, using a specialist extinguishing agent).
