At Target Fire Protection we understand the importance of fire extinguisher servicing and inspection – and cover commercial customers across Manchester, Rochdale, the North West and across the UK.

- How often should a fire extinguisher be serviced?
It’s important that all your fire safety equipment is regularly serviced and maintained, not only to make sure they are in working order, but also because it’s one of your legal responsibilities. You should have all your fire extinguishers serviced every 12 months by a professional. But you should also personally check your fire extinguishers at least once a month.
We designed our own software that records all of your site information. Customers’ sites are then scheduled so our technicians will contact you directly and arrange a suitable time to carry out your annual fire extinguisher service and maintenance when it’s due – so you never miss a service!
Our technicians are all BAFE registered and have completed the Safety Passport Schemes, enabling them to provide a servicing certificate for your records. All our services are carried out to BS 5306 part 3, 8 and 9 standards with minimum disruption to the customer.
Fire Extinguisher Inspections
We also ensure that the technician’s vans are fully stocked with service parts, and have the equipment necessary to provide replacements if needed – so if a problem is uncovered, they will resolve it as quickly as possible, ensuring you are always protected.
Once the fire extinguisher inspection and service is complete, your engineer will log all of the information and send it to the office, where an invoice, report and record of your service will be created and sent to you – this information, along with a list of all your equipment will be stored online, allowing you access to the most up to date information at all times.
Fire Extinguisher Refurbishment & Refill
At Target Fire Protection, we care about the impact that fire safety has on the environment, which is why, on top of our fire extinguisher servicing, we also offer fire extinguisher refurbishment and refill services. With this, we can take old cylinders and overhaul them, making them fit for purpose while using a fraction of the raw materials needed to create a brand new one. Alternatively, we can refill your pre-existing cylinders and extinguishers that have already been used.
